On Thursday night, 3rd July, a special event will be hosted by Youghal Town Council for the launch of a number of activities and developments planned by Craobh Eochaille CCÉ for the coming months. It is hoped that these developments will benefit the town and the surrounding areas in the present and long into the future. The plans include an ambitious building programme, as well as a performance and training schedule that will continue to promote Irish traditional music and profile Youghal around the world.
A great concert of music, song and dance takes place in the Mill Theatre, Dundrum on Thursday night, 10th July. The concert is presented by Dublin’s Craobh Chualann branch of Comhaltas and stars Bruce Scott (Liverpools renowned singer/songwriter) and Niamh Parsons. A large contingent of talented musicians and dancers from the Chualann Branch will also provide top class entertainment on the night.
A great festival of Irish traditional music, song and dance takes place in the West Clare town of Kilmihil this weekend (Friday, 27th to Sunday, 29th June).

The 2008 Connacht Fleadh Cheoil will take place this year in Westport. The organising committee have put together a very exciting week-long programme of events musical and cultural with something to interest everyone.
With the last of the County Fleadhs, the Sligo Fleadh, taking place in sunny Gurteen last week-end the countdown is now on to the Connacht Fleadh which will be held in Westport from June 30th to July 6th.
