Sheet Music
Music notation may not be the best way to get a “feel” for traditional music. Unlike classical music, Irish traditional music generally cannot be notated exactly the way it is meant to be played, and music notation doesn’t always lend itself well to the transcription of Irish ornamentation. You might want to take a look at a discussion page on this website for more information and resources.
We’re happy to post here some of the music that we’ve written down, from our own music books and from other sources. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, take a look over at thesession.org - they have a good collection. Browse and enjoy!
